Small.

Flexible.

A complete renovation of a 3 bedroom house in the inner city suburb.

This was an exciting project to work on as this double brick terrace house built back in the 70s had little space & storage to suit the owner's current need. This gave us a great opportunity to experiment some joinery ideas for display, store & updating the interior with new material.

The project took the client's request on a cleaner & white colour tone as the existing architecture featured a bold exposed red brick wall, which made the rooms looked darker & smaller.

So we kept all the bedrooms (quiet space) in a lighter/warmer tone, but without forgetting the original architecture, we retained & emphasised the texture of the bricks with wall lightings.

In Corridor & Bathroom (active space) we preserved the red brick architecture to contrast with the new marble looking white tiles.

On the ground floor, we redesigned the ground floor kitchen/living to make it more opened & spacious. A swivel benchtop was added to the kitchen to create flexibility for the preparation space. And we also transformed the TV/fireplace into a feature black procelain panel contrasting with timber shelvings & built-in storage.
